Coremas‑Mãe d’Água System is a major reservoir complex in the Sertão da Paraíba, State of Paraíba, Brazil. The complex is formed by two large dams/reservoirs: the Açude de Coremas (Estevam Marinho) and the Barragem de Mãe D’Água. These two are interconnected by a spillway/channel (canal, beira‑vertedor) of about 237 meters, allowing transposition of water between them. Together, their total capacity is about 1.289.16 × 10⁹ m³ . They impound waters from the Piancó River (for Coremas) and the Aguiar River (for Mãe D’Água), forming a large single “mirror of water” in practical terms.
