The Aimorés reservoir is part of the Aimorés Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Doce River in Minas Gerais, Brazil, with a capacity of 184.6 million cubic meters and an active generating capacity of 330MW. Construction began in 2001, with commercial operation starting in 2006. The reservoir's development also led to reforestation efforts in the area by Sebastião Salgado and Lélia Salgado.
