The Obersee near Fuschl is a peaceful, smaller alpine lake offering great opportunities for swimming and hiking, nestled in a beautiful part of the Salzburg Lake District. The outflow of Obersee (Fuschl region) is the Fuschler Ache (also called Fuschlerbach in some sources). The lake drains into this small stream on its northern side. The Fuschler Ache flows northward, eventually joining the Salzach River near Salzburg. This connects Obersee’s waters into the larger Danube basin via the Salzach → Inn → Danube system.
