The Gosauseen are a stunning trio of alpine lakes located in the Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria, at the foot of the Dachstein massif. They’re famous for their crystal-clear waters and breathtaking mountain views, especially of the Dachstein Glacier. There are three main lakes: Vorderer Gosausee (Front Gosau Lake), Gosaulacke (Middle Gosau Pond) – a smaller, often shallow or seasonal lake and Hinterer Gosausee (Rear Gosau Lake).
