The Nimy–Blaton–Péronnes Canal is an important inland waterway in Belgium that forms part of the Scheldt basin.
It begins near Mons (Nimy), where it connects to the Scheldt River, and runs westward to Péronnes and Blaton, where it links with the Canal du Centre. The canal is approximately 21 km long and plays a key role in regional navigation, connecting industrial waterways with the Scheldt system and access to the North Sea.
In addition to transport, the canal is also popular for fishing, offering a mix of classic canal stretches and wider water areas, especially near Péronnes. Anglers commonly target species such as pike, perch, zander, and bream.
