The Dalles Pool is a reservoir on the Columbia River created by the construction of The Dalles Dam. It stretches upstream from the dam near the cities of The Dalles and Dallesport to just below John Day Dam, flooding the area once known as Celilo Falls. The pool is an important component of the Columbia River hydropower and navigation system and a prominent feature of the Mid-Columbia Gorge landscape.
