Lake Fayetteville is reservoir / man-made lake, created in 1949 by damming Cattail Creek. Originally for recreation and water supply; now mostly recreational, fishing, and ecological management. Size: ~45 acres, average depth 8–12 ft. Lake Fayetteville has a marina operated by the City of Fayetteville and fishing piers. The lake contains bass, crappie, carp, bluegill, and catfish.
