Description
The Achen River (also known as the Tiroler Achen) is a significant alpine river that flows through Austria and Germany, linking mountainous and lake regions in Tyrol and Bavaria. It is 79 km long, begins at the Achensee, a large alpine lake north of Jenbach in Tyrol, and empties into the Chiemsee, one of Germany’s largest lakes, near the town of Grabenstätt.
